VIP Gold Level Information
Tour de Spa

This premium fundraising level, known as "Tour de Spa" is how we first started, with our core group of fundraisers and a blast of a celebration! You are invited to join us as we gather together at the beautiful Bonneville Resort and Spa for a weekend filled with a choice of activities: cycling, hiking, golf, whitewater rafting, wine tours, and wind surfing. There is so much to do it is hard to choose.

The weekend starts Saturday morning with your choice of activity. You can choose to go on one of our three Ride the Gorge cycling tours through the Columbia River Valley, or elect to go hiking to see the incredible falls and views that this area offers. Or, if you just want to relax, you can park yourself poolside with a good book. Whatever you choose, you don't have to lift a finger, and lunch is even included.

When you check in at the Bonneville Resort and Spa, you will find waiting for you in your room your choice of champagne, red or white wine or sparkling cider.

Saturday evening we all come together for a gourmet dinner and dance to celebrate our success, whether it's our fundraising, or in the fact that we actually finished the one hundred mile ride, or both!

Of course, sometime during all this fun you have to fit in the time to pamper yourself. As part of the Tour de Spa, you receive a one hundred dollar gift card towards your choice of Spa treatment. Please check out the Bonneville Resort & Spa website to see all the spa treatments available to choose from.

Sunday morning you are treated to an a la cart breakfast in the Pacific Crest dining room before heading out to enjoy whatever past time you have arranged for the day. Our most popular activity is the whitewater rafting on the White Salmon River. Also popular are the wine tours, golf, and wind surfing lessons. Please check out the information on the many different activities offered in the area.

As part of our Gold Level VIP group, Tour de Spa members will have a special tent at the cycling event with valet bicycle service, separate check in, a complimentary continental breakfast, and concierge service at both the riding event and at the hotel.

New this year, we have a special gift card for a relaxing bath and wrap treatment for anyone who registers before May 15th. This card is for future visits to the Bonneville Resort and Spa, and is a wonderful way to initiate your spa experience. So make sure that you register now to take advantage of this reward.

We have a limited number of rooms at Bonneville for the "Tour de Spa", and it is first come, first serve. Please sign up as soon as possible so we can guarantee your membership and participation.

The registration fee for Gold Level individual riders, family riders, and team members is $275 and your VIP membership includes:

"Tour de Spa" is our elite fundraising group. The minimum VIP Gold Level fundraising goal is $1,000, and every year we have members who raise $2,500 or more. We have special gifts for our top fundraisers:

Tour de Spa Team Building

Also new this year is the option to ride and fundraise as a team. This is a wonderful opportunity to boost your fundraising goals, and do it with your friends. You register with your team captain's name, and your team name. Gold Level registration fees are $275 each, and the fundraising minimum for each participant is $1,000.

We will have prizes for the largest team, the team that raises the most funds, and other fun surprises. A team can be as small as two people, and as large as you want to make it. Team members must be 13 or older. Children over 13 can ride as part of a team, family unit, or as a single rider, and must pay the full registration fee and meet the fundraising goal for what ever fundraising event for which they are registered.

If you enjoy riding and fundraising with your family, this is the way to go. Children (younger then 13) will be allowed to ride in the 25 mile ride when accompanied by an adult. If your family would like to take a shorter tour, you have the option to turn around at the 5 mile point to make your entire ride about 10 miles. If they are riding their own bike, their registration fee will be $10, but they will not be required to fundraise. If they are riding on a tandem bike, trailer, or tag-a-long, they do not pay a ride registration fee. Please note that the dinner dance is for fundraisers only, and that any additional costs for meals and possible room charges for extra room occupants will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Children over 13 can ride as part of a family unit, team, or as a single rider, and must pay the full registration fee and meet the fundraising goal for what ever fundraising event for which they are registered.

If you would like to include your family in this year's event, please check out our Family Group Guidelines, Family Registration, and check out Room Information for possible additional costs.

Tour de Spa Hiking Options
13.2 mile hike -- Eagle Creek Trail

This is a moderate hike that has some steep cliffs and no guard rails, so wear good hiking shoes! With its basalt cliffs, numerous waterfalls, and engineering marvels it is easy to see why this is one of the most popular trails in the Gorge. Built in 1910 to accompany the Columbia River Highway, the builders blasted ledges out of the basalt cliffs, bridged a massive gorge, and even dug a tunnel through solid rock behind Tunnel Falls. It features beautiful waterfalls that are really a must see!

1.8 mile Hike -- Beacon Rock

The Beacon Rock Hike is a fun, easy to moderate climb with a great view! The trail is "fastened" literally to the side of this unusual rock formation that sits on the banks of the Columbia River. The views from the top are incredible!

Guides will accompany these hikes if you would like to go with a group. Please don't forget to sign up for your Gourmet Box Lunch which is provided for all registered JTdS participants as part of your hiking experience! All hikers will meet at the JTdS VIP tent at the Marina Green in Hood River to check in and pick up your maps, meet up with your guide (if you are going with one) and grab your lunches.

Not into Cycling or Hiking?

Bonneville Hot Springs Resort and Spa features a beautiful pool, hot tub, and lounging area for relaxing and sunning. If you are so inclined, spend the afternoon with friends around the pool or reading a good book. And just so you don't have to stir yourself from the side of the pool, be sure you sign up for a Gourmet Box Lunch that is provided as part of the fun. Or check out some of the other local activities that are available.
